Duane Brown Wants A New Deal
4 years agoSeattle Seahawks offensive tackle Duane Brown was present for the start of the team's mandatory minicamp this week, but he wants a new deal as he enters the final year of his contract in 2021. Brown is set to make $10 million this year, and his contract situation is one to monitor this summer. The 35-year-old former first-rounder in 2008 by the Houston Texans missed four games due to injury in 2019, but he continues to play at a high level when he's on the field. The problem is that All-Pro safety Jamal Adams, who would also like a new deal, is likely ahead of Brown in terms of team priorities. It remains to be seen if the veteran Brown can continue to play at a high level near the end of his career, but the four-time Pro Bowler has gotten it done in recent seasons.
