Drew VerHagen Suffers Hip Injury On Thursday
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals right-handed pitcher Drew VerHagen (hip) was removed from Thursday's game against the Miami Marlins after sustaining a hip injury. He was originally lined up to pitched multiple innings on Thursday, working behind starter Jordan Hicks, but the injury limited him to just one inning. VerHagen signed a two-year deal with the Cardinals this offseason. He's made three appearances so far this year and has compiled a 5.79 ERA and a 1.93 WHIP over 4.2 innings. There's no word yet on the severity of the injury or whether he's expected to land on the injured list.
