Drew Thorpe Tosses Five Shutout Innings In Fifth Victory
10 months agoChicago White Sox starting pitching prospect Drew Thorpe continued his excellent start to the season with another shutout performance. In this outing, he tossed five ⅔ innings with five strikeouts and allowed just two hits and two free passes en route to his fifth victory of the season. The 23-year-old performed very well in Double-A last season and has carried that dominance into this season with a stellar 1.01 ERA, 0.84, and 33:9 K:BB ratio in 35 ⅔ innings. The third-ranked prospect in the White Sox system is on the verge of being promoted to Triple-A, making him an intriguing stash candidate in redraft formats in the coming months as he could push for a late-season promotion and should be able to make an immediate impact with his elite strikeout potential.
