Drew Thorpe Tosses Five Shutout Innings In Fifth Victory
7 months agoChicago White Sox starting pitching prospect Drew Thorpe continued his excellent start to the season with another shutout performance. In this outing, he tossed five ⅔ innings with five strikeouts and allowed just two hits and two free passes en route to his fifth victory of the season. The 23-year-old performed very well in Double-A last season and has carried that dominance into this season with a stellar 1.01 ERA, 0.84, and 33:9 K:BB ratio in 35 ⅔ innings. The third-ranked prospect in the White Sox system is on the verge of being promoted to Triple-A, making him an intriguing stash candidate in redraft formats in the coming months as he could push for a late-season promotion and should be able to make an immediate impact with his elite strikeout potential.
