Drew Steckenrider Records Second Save Wednesday
3 years agoSeattle Mariners relief pitcher Drew Steckenrider picked up the save Wednesday, only allowing a single hit in the bottom of the 10th inning while striking out one batter. The automatic runner on second base did come around to score, but the run was not charged to Steckenrider by rule. He now holds a 2.15 ERA and 0.99 WHIP with 31 strikeouts and two saves in 29 1/3 innings pitched, and he may be in position to have a few more save chances going forward, as Kendall Graveman is frequently used in high-leverage situations. He's only worth an add for saves for truly desperate fantasy managers in daily formats.
