Drew Steckenrider Projected For Most Save Chances
6 years agoMiami Marlins relief pitcher Drew Steckenrider, who had five saves as a rookie, is projected to get most of the save opportunities in the ninth inning, but left-hander Adam Conley will also get a shot if the matchups are more favorable for him. Sergio Romo, who has 109 career saves, is another option for Miami. Steckenrider has struck out 11.6 hitters per nine innings in his two years in the big leagues and will be the one to target as one of the last fantasy closing options off the board. The fact that the Marlins aren't expected to contend will likely hurt his amount of save chances.
