Drew Steckenrider Locks Down First Save Sunday
3 years agoSeattle Mariners relief pitcher Drew Steckenrider locked down his first save of the year Sunday, throwing a perfect ninth inning against the Minnesota Twins. He didn't strike out any batters. Steckenrider benefitted from Kendall Graveman's unavailability in this one, as Graveman had thrown in two consecutive games. Steckenrider is not expected to receive many more save opportunities going forward and is not a priority for fantasy rosters, though he has delivered a solid 2.59 ERA and 0.99 WHIP in 20 appearances.
