Drew Steckenrider Avoids Surgery For Now
6 years agoMiami Marlins relief pitcher Drew Steckenrider (elbow) visited with Dr. James Andrews, who confirmed the initial diagnosis of a right flexor strain. Andrews recommended rest for Steckenrider, and there is no timetable for his return. The 28-year-old isn't out of the woods yet and could eventually need to go under the knife, but he'll rehab for now. He had an ugly 6.28 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 14 K's in 14 1/3 innings as a setup man in Miami and wasn't fantasy relevant without getting save chances. You can go on continuing to ignore him in all leagues.
