1 year agoTampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Drew Rasmussen (elbow) will undergo an internal brace procedure and won't return until the middle of next season. The organization was hopeful that Rasmussen could make a return this season. The right-hander has been sidelined since the middle of May due to a right flexor strain. He will avoid Tommy John surgery, but will still undergo a similar surgery. The recovery time for this surgery is slightly shorter, but Rasmussen still won't pitch until at least mid-season in 2024.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
