Drew Pomeranz Could Miss One Start

San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Drew Pomeranz (lat) might only miss one start after landing on the injured list on Thursday with what sounds like a minor lat strain. The 30-year-old left-hander hasn't fared very well in 2019, going 1-4 with a 5.93 ERA, 1.62 WHIP and 33 strikeouts in 30 1/3 innings over his seven starts. Even if he misses only one turn through the rotation, Pomeranz should probably be left to the waiver wire in most mixed leagues. Youngster Tyler Beede, who was shelled in his only start last Friday, will fill in as long as Pomeranz is out.
