Drew Lock Expected To Start For Teddy Bridgewater Again
3 years agoDenver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock is expected to start a second straight game in Week 17 against the Los Angeles Chargers with Teddy Bridgewater (head) still in the league's concussion protocol, according to a source. The Broncos are being smart with Bridgewater, especially since they are unlikely to make the playoffs after losing three of their last four games. Lock was unable to do much in his first start of the year in last week's loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, going 15-for-22 for 153 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. It was a positive that he didn't turn the ball over, but the 25-year-old looked tentative and afraid to pull the trigger. He could have more success against a Chargers team that just allowed 41 points to the Texans, but Lock is an unattractive low-end desperation QB2 play in superflex leagues.
