Drew Brees Still In Play For Week 8
Drew Brees (thumb) was limited in practice on Thursday and isn't being ruled out over Teddy Bridgewater just yet. It wouldn't be a surprise if the Saints hold Brees out another week with their bye coming in Week 9, but it sounds like Brees is pushing to play for the first time since his injury in Week 2. If he returns, Brees will have QB1 upside in a great matchup against Arizona. On the other hand, Bridgewater won't be a bad streamer if Brees rests up for another week. We might not know who is starting under center for New Orleans until Sunday morning.

Drew Brees Not Serious About NFL Comeback
Drew Brees (shoulder) over the years, isn't taking Brees' recent social media posts about unretiring seriously. Brees underwent left shoulder surgery two weeks ago and would be physically unable to play until at least September or October, according to a source. It was pretty much assumed that Brees' comments about unretiring recently were made in jest, so this report from Werder shouldn't come as a huge surprise to anyone. The 43-year-old will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer when his time comes, but he won't be following in the footsteps of Tom Brady this year. The New Orleans Saints are fully committed to quarterback Jameis Winston at this point.
