1 year agoBrooklyn Nets forwards Dorian Finney-Smith and Royce O'Neale are two of three players seemingly on the trade block ahead of the NBA's trade deadline on February 8. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Nets are listening to offers on both of their veteran forwards and Spencer Dinwiddie. They're expected to look for deals on just these three vets while the rest of the roster is expected to stay in Brooklyn at least until this offseason. Finney-Smith and O'Neale are two prototypical 3-and-D wings that many playoff contenders could use. It's unclear right now what the Nets are expecting in return and whether or not it would be a package of picks plus younger players or one of the two.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBaller

3 weeks agoAccording to Khobi Price of The Orange County Register, Los Angeles Lakers forward/center Dorian Finney-Smith (ankle) is doubtful for Thursday's matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks. Finney-Smith has been dealing with an ankle injury despite starting nine last 11 games for the Lakers. Rui Hachimura (knee), LeBron James (groin), Luka Doncic (ankle), and Austin Reaves (ankle) are all out, while Jarred Vanderbilt (groin) is also listed as doubtful, leaving them very shorthanded. Gabe Vincent Dalton Knecht, Jordan Goodwin and Shake Milton could have heavy workloads during tonight's contest, especially if Finney-Smith cannot play.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller

3 weeks agoLos Angeles Lakers forward/center Dorian Finney-Smith (ankle) has been listed as available for Monday's contest against the San Antonio Spurs. Initially, the team listed him as probable for the action. A small question mark hung over Finney-Smith after he logged 36 minutes in Sunday's matchup against the Phoenix Suns. The Lakers are currently battling injuries in the frontcourt, giving Finney-Smith a chance to show his worth. The veteran contributed across the board in Sunday's 107-96 win, finishing with 10 points, six rebounds, three assists, one block, and one steal.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

3 weeks agoLos Angeles Lakers forward Dorian Finney-Smith (ankle) will not play on Friday against the Denver Nuggets. The veteran is suffering from an ankle injury and will exit the lineup after playing 30 minutes in Thursday's matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks. Jarred Vanderbilt and Dalton Knecht are in a prime position to benefit from Finney-Smith's absence on Friday. Both players have been confirmed as starters for the contest.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

2 months agoLos Angeles Lakers forward Dorian Finney-Smith (ankle) will be active on Wednesday against the Charlotte Hornets. He missed the last game before the All-Star break due to ankle soreness. Finney-Smith has been a solid addition to the Lakers rotation, but his fantasy stock has significantly dropped since his move to Los Angeles. The 31-year-old has been limited to 6.0 points and 3.0 rebounds in 25.2 minutes with his new squad. On Wednesday, Finney-Smith may have a larger role in the proceedings if LeBron James (foot) cannot play. The Lakers have listed James as questionable for the matchup.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
