Donovan Mitchell Sets Cavaliers Record With 38-Point Effort
2 years agoCleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell couldn't save the team from Saturday's Game 1 loss against the Knicks, but it was a special outing for him personally, as Mitchell set the Cavaliers playoff debut scoring record with a game-high 38 points on 14-for-30 shooting. Over half of his attempts came from downtown and Mitchell finished 6-for-16 with his triples. His line also included five rebounds, eight assists, three steals and one block. This series looks set to be a very competitive one and there are likely more big scoring performances coming up from Mitchell, who owns the seventh-highest all-time scoring average in the NBA playoffs (28.6).
