Donovan Clingan Sets New Summer League Record In Blocks
8 months agoPortland Trail Blazers center Donovan Clingan set a new Summer League record in Las Vegas by averaging 4.3 blocks per game. The previous top mark stood at 4.0 and was shared by Victor Wembanyama, Amen Thompson, and Greg Oden. Clingan registered 17 swats in total across four outings. He also came very close to averaging a double-double in the Summer League, posting 9.0 points per game with 12.3 rebounds. The 20-year-old was named to the All-Summer League Second Team. Clingan starts off his NBA career as Deandre Ayton's backup in Portland, but his defensive ability could secure him a good chunk of minutes.

Donovan Clingan Downgraded To Questionable
7 days agoPortland Trail Blazers forward Donovan Clingan (illness) is a late addition to the injury report ahead of Friday's game against the Denver Nuggets. Clingan is in danger of missing his first contest since early February. The 21-year-old rookie has been a rebounding monster lately with 11 boards or more in each of his last four games. Jabari Walker and Duop Reath would likely be asked to play bigger roles if Clingan is unable to go. Fantasy managers will need to check back ahead of tip-off for more information.

Donovan Clingan Starting On Friday
2 months agoPortland Trail Blazers center Donovan Clingan (ankle) will return to the lineup as a starter on Friday against the Charlotte Hornets. Deandre Ayton (knee) and Robert Williams III (hand) are both out for the contest, so we should see plenty of Clingan in action. Jabari Walker and Duop Reath will provide backup at the center position. In his previous eight career starts, Clingan has averaged 8.0 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 2.9 blocks in 22.9 minutes.

Donovan Clingan Probable On Friday
2 months agoPortland Trail Blazers center Donovan Clingan (ankle) was unable to play on Thursday with an ankle sprain, but he's now listed as probable for the second half of the back-to-back against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday. The rookie big man has missed the last five games but posted some solid performances in the three games he played before that. He's played at least 22 minutes in those three games and collected at least 10 rebounds and one block in each one. Clingan serves a solid streaming option for fantasy managers in deeper category leagues.

Donovan Clingan To Be Re-Evaluated In One Week
2 months agoPortland Trail Blazers center Donovan Clingan (ankle) is poised to miss at least one week of action. The rookie big man hurt his ankle in Tuesday's contest against Brooklyn, and the team has announced that Clingan will be re-evaluated in one week. He was diagnosed with a mild left-ankle sprain. Clingan joins Robert Williams III (illness) on the sidelines, so Portland's starting center Deandre Ayton may be very busy over the next few games. Duop Reath is an additional option for the center position on the bench, but he has featured very sparingly in 2024-25.
