For the second consecutive time after his masterful first career start, New York Yankees pitcher Domingo German was rocked, this time by the Texas Rangers in what would be a defeat. The 25-year-old lasted just 3 2/3 innings, surrendering six runs on four hits and three walks. He would strike out six, taking another loss that moved his record to 0-2, with an ERA of 5.59. The start came 10 days after his last start as a result of rainouts and off days, perhaps playing a factor in his lack of form. German’s misfortunes were evident from the start, as he allowed three runs in the first inning, followed by two in the second. After one more in the third, manager Aaron Boone removed him from the game.--RDelgado
