Domingo German Records First Victory
6 years agoAt long last, New York Yankees starter Domingo German recorded the first victory of his major league career on Thursday night, edging out the Tampa Bay Rays. The 25-year-old had his best start since his six no-hit innings against the Indians over a month ago. German went six innings, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks. He struck out a career-high 10 batters along the way. While he was solid on the mound, his offense managed four runs, just barely edging out the Tampa Bay Rays to retain their position of first place in the American League East.
