Domingo German Brilliant In Sunday's No-Decision
3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Domingo German delivered his best performance of the season in Sunday's no-decision against the Red Sox. German carried a no-hitter into the eighth inning but was pulled after surrendering a leadoff double. The righty was charged with one run and one walk, posting a season-high 10 strikeouts with an impressive 18 whiffs, half of them coming on his curveball. German has now allowed just three runs over his last 11 innings pitched with a 15:4 strikeout-to-walk ratio in that span. He seems to be trending in the right direction ahead of an appealing matchup against the strikeout-prone Marlins.
