The club hopes to open up as much money heading into free agency, which began when Richaun Holmes was traded to the Dallas Mavericks. Sabonis, who averaged 19.1 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 7.3 assists last season, remains in the team's long-term plans. His defensive skills have been questioned, and he also battled a thumb injury in 2022-23.
