Dodgers Extend David Freese's Option Deadline
6 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers and corner infielder David Freese agreed to extend the deadline on his option decision until Friday at 4 pm ET. Freese hit an exceptional .296/.359/.471 with 11 home runs and 51 RBI in 280 at-bats between the Pirates and Dodgers during the regular season, but his true value comes in his domination of left-handed pitchers. He was the Dodgers most consistent hitter in the playoffs, too, going 8-for-22 (.364) with two home runs and six RBI. It's likely the Dodgers want to keep him around for at least another season. Freese certainly has value in fantasy for his ability to hit southpaws in deep mixed, NL-only and DFS leagues.
