6 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers are discussing a possible trade for St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Jose Martinez, according to sources. Martinez could play first base, which would move Max Muncy to second base and Cody Bellinger to the outfield. Martinez can hit (.305/.364/.457 with 17 homers, 83 RBI), but he's bad on defense and is a much better fit for the American League, where he could serve as a designated hitter. Still, his offensive prowess would fit nicely in an already strong Dodgers lineup, which would make Martinez a more attractive corner infielder in mixed leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
