Dodgers Activate Scott Alexander
3 years agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers activated left-hander Scott Alexander (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list on Monday and optioned left-hander Garrett Cleavinger to Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move. Alexander has been sidelined since the beginning of May with left shoulder inflammation, but he'll return to give the Dodgers a solid left-handed option out of the bullpen. Before his arm injury, the 31-year-old southpaw had a nice 2.31 ERA, 0.68 WHIP and five strikeouts in 11 2/3 relief innings for LA. Alexander also had a 2.92 ERA and 1.45 WHIP in 12 1/3 innings last season. Because he's more of a lefty specialist with a mediocre 7.0 career K/9, though, he won't be on the fantasy radar.
