DL Hall Strikes Out Eight Over 5 2/3 Innings On Tuesday
2 years agoBaltimore Orioles pitching prospect DL Hall had yet another dominant performance for Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday. He pitched 5 2/3 innings and allowed two hits, four walks and one unearned run while striking out eight. The 23-year-old has had a few shaky outings this season, but he's been overwhelming hitters so far in July. Through three starts and 15.2 innings this month, he's racked up 30 strikeouts while pitching to a 0.57 ERA and a 0.83 WHI. He owns a season-long 3.65 ERA and 1.30 WHIP. With the Orioles riding a nine-game winning streak that has brought them to an even 44-44 record on the year, it seems more likely than ever that Hall is on the verge of a promotion for his MLB debut. Now is the time to stash him if you are looking to take a chance on a starting pitcher with high upside.
