DJ LeMahieu Drives In Four In Losing Effort
5 years agoDespite their third straight loss, the New York Yankees got more invaluable production from their prized free agent acquisition, infielder DJ LeMahieu. The 30-year-old drove in four of his club's seven runs Wednesday night, as he tied the game with an RBI single in the fifth and later drilled a three-run, go-ahead blast in the sixth. In all he had three hits, now raising his batting average to .315 on the season. LeMahieu has been a stalwart on this club, being one of the handful who has not succumbed to any injury this season. He may be the most important player on the club thus far in 2019.
