DJ LeMahieu Back In Yankees Lineup
1 year agoNew York Yankees infielder DJ LeMahieu (calf) has returned to the team's starting lineup on Monday and is playing first base and batting sixth in the order against Atlanta Braves left-hander Max Fried. This will be LeMahieu's first action since being scratched from last Wednesday's lineup with a tight calf. The 35-year-old veteran infielder hasn't quite performed up to expectations this year, slashing a mediocre .240/.315/.373 with eight home runs, 18 doubles, two triples, 29 RBI and 35 runs scored in 387 trips to the plate and 96 games. The three-time All-Star has been better since the All-Star break, though, hitting .319 (22-for-69) with a home run, five doubles, two RBI and seven runs scored in 20 games (19 starts). Hopefully, LeMahieu is able to stay healthy and finish out the year on a higher note.
