Dinelson Lamet Throwing from 45 Feet
7 years agoSan Diego Union-Tribune writer Jeff Sanders reports that injured Padres pitcher Dinelson Lamet "threw about a dozen balls from a knee and about a dozen more from a stationary position from a distance of 45 feet" on Wednesday for his first work since injuring his elbow in the final game of Spring Training. Sanders says that the initial timetable for Lamet had him returning to the Padres in May, but there has been no official word on whether or not that still stands. Lamet was pegged to be the Padres No. 2 starter before the injury, and when he returns to the mound he will bring high strikeout upside with him.
