Dinelson Lamet Rehabbing At Triple-A
5 years agoSan Diego Padres starting pitcher Dinelson Lamet (elbow), who is recovering from Tommy John surgery, allowed four earned runs on four hits while walking one and striking out five in five innings in his first start for Triple-A El Paso on Sunday. In his four rehab starts (three for High-A Lake Elsinore), Lamet has struggled with a 7.71 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 11.6 K/9 in 14 innings. It's typical for a pitcher making the long recovery from Tommy John surgery. Lamet was one of San Diego's better starters several years ago and could help the rotation out in the second half of the season. He's an intriguing arm for future seasons but is merely one to watch in deep mixed and NL-only leagues right now.
