Dinelson Lamet Goes Two Innings In Colorado Tuesday
3 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Dinelson Lamet once again went two innings in his third start of the season in Denver against the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday. The Rockies manufactured a run in the first against Lamet, as Raimel Tapia walked, stole second, advanced to third on a flyout and scored on a Charlie Blackmon ground out. The only other baserunner allowed was a two-out double by Dom Nunez in the second inning. The Padres are clearly being cautious with Lamet's workload as they build his arm strength back up, but it's surprising they are doing it at the Major League level. His next outing should be against the St. Louis Cardinals at home, and fantasy managers will be hoping for more length from Lamet. Once the Padres decide he is allowed to throw 80 or more pitches in a game, Lamet's fantasy value will finally return. Be patient.
