Didi Gregorius' Season In Doubt
6 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius (wrist) tore cartilage in his wrist while sliding into home plate on Saturday and might not be able to return the rest of the season, according to manager Aaron Boone. Gregorius sat out on Sunday, but it's unclear if he'll be able to return if the team advances past the wild-card game against the A's. If so, it's a huge loss to the Yankees and their offense. Gregorius has been one of the better shortstop options for fantasy owners, hitting .268/.336/.498 with 27 home runs, 86 RBI, 86 runs scored and 10 stolen bases. Expect Adeiny Hechavarria to fill in at shortstop for however long Gregorius is out.
