Didi Gregorius Dropped To Seventh In Order
7 years agoThe New York Yankees will begin a home series with the Houston Astros on Memorial Day and they’ve shifted their lineup once more. Shortstop Didi Gregorius, who began the season batting fourth before being moved up to third, has now been dropped to seventh. The 28-year-old had previously been dropped to fifth as his incredible struggles persist. Following an April that saw him hit .330 with 10 home runs and 30 RBI, the Dutch native is hitting an abominable .113 this month, hitting an even worse .083 across the last 15 games. While the Yankees have managed to remain strong despite his struggles, the club sorely misses the Gregorius of April. As a result of his demotion, rookie phenom Gleyber Torres has moved up to fifth.
