Didi Gregorius Could Begin Hitting Program In Early March
6 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius (elbow) will have a doctor's assessment in the beginning of March, at which point he could be cleared to begin a hitting program shortly thereafter. He has already been cleared to throw. Gregorius is likely to miss around half the season after having Tommy John surgery, which means you should avoid drafting him in mixed leagues in 2019. He was one of the better fantasy shortstops when healthy in 2018, though, so he's worth stashing in AL-only leagues. Some combination of Troy Tulowitzki and Gleyber Torres should man the 6 until Gregorius is fully healthy.
