Didi Gregorius Cleared For Non-Contact Swings
6 years agoNew York Yankees shortstop Didi Gregorius (elbow) has been cleared to take dry non-contact swings with his regular bat. He thinks that after a week or two he could resume hitting balls off a tee and in soft toss. Gregorius underwent Tommy John surgery and is expected to miss around half of the season. For that reason it's hard to justify stashing him in mixed leagues. Troy Tulowitzki is expected to hold down the fort at shortstop until Gregorius is healthy enough to return.
