Dexter Fowler Becomes Free Agent
Dexter Fowler requested his release and is now a free agent, according to a source. Fowler signed a minor league deal with Toronto in late March after recovering from a torn ACL in his knee. The 36-year-old veteran did have five hits in 12 at-bats over three games for Triple-A Buffalo, but he'll now be looking to latch on with another team as he tries to work his way back to the majors. Fowler has appeared in only 38 major league games in the last two seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Angels, and he's hit .236/.312/.364 with four home runs, 16 RBI and 17 runs scored in 122 plate appearances. He continues to be well off the fantasy radar at the tail end of his career.

Blue Jays Expected To Sign Dexter Fowler
Dexter Fowler to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training, according to a source. Fowler was limited to seven games last year with the Los Angeles Angels due to a torn ACL in his right knee that he suffered in mid-April. The 36-year-old veteran outfielder was an All-Star with the Chicago Cubs back in 2016, but he hit a combined .233/.334/.408 with 49 home runs, 177 RBI, 191 runs and 21 stolen bases in a four-year span from 2017-20 with the St. Louis Cardinals. In Toronto, he'll purely be veteran outfield depth on a stacked roster and won't have any fantasy appeal for now.
