Dexter Fowler Goes Hitless on Friday
5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Dexter Fowler went hitless in Friday's Grapefruit League loss against the New York Mets, ending up 0-for-3 with a strikeout. It's been an ugly start to the spring for Fowler, who is now hitting just .111 in Grapefruit League games. Still, he's essentially guaranteed a starting spot and should remain near the top of the Cardinals lineup. He struggled to a .238/.346/.409 line last season, but showed signs of strong play on occasion. He's worth a look near the end of drafts in mixed leagues because of his potential and place in what should be a strong lineup.
