DeVonta Smith A High-End WR2 In Week 18
2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith will take on the division rival New York Giants in Week 18. The fears of the second-year receiver losing targets due to the return of tight end Dallas Goedert have been put to rest after netting 25 over the past two weeks. While this was with backup quarterback Gardner Minshew under center, Smith has received at least eight targets over the past eight weeks. He has proven to be a solid WR2 no matter who is starting at quarterback for the Eagles, and the team is slated to get back Jalen Hurts (shoulder) this week in a must-win game against the Giants. New York allows the 10th-fewest fantasy points per game to the wide receiver position but will be without starting corner Adoree' Jackson and could rest starters for most of this game. After gaining over 100 yards in three straight games, Smith heads into Week 18 as a high-end WR2.
