Devon Travis Has Another Setback
5 years agoToronto Blue Jays second baseman Devon Travis (knee) had another setback and has yet to play in 2019 due to right knee soreness. He recently experienced more pain in his knee after ramping up the intensity of his workouts in Florida. He was sent to New York to be examined by Dr. Riley Williams, but not structural damage was found and Travis received a platelet-rich plasma injection to reduce inflammation. There is no timetable for his return. The 28-year-old has talent but has never been able to stay healthy in the majors. Travis has never played in more than 103 games in a single season and sports a career .274/.314/.437 slash line in 316 games over four seasons. You can continue to ignore him everywhere.
