In this weekend's FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway, Chase Elliott finished 15th. Starting from the sixth position on Sunday, Elliott had one of the best cars of the day as he led 29 laps total. In the first stage, Elliott ran inside the Top 10 until the first pit stop of the day. The No. 9 driver led the group of cars off of pit road and finished the stage in second, earning stage points. In the second stage, Elliott was competing with Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr. for the lead until pitting on lap 87 for tires and fuel. Unfortunately for Elliott, he failed to record stage points, as he only made it up to 14th after failing to make up more ground due to varying pit strategies and drivers staying out for track position. In the final stage, Elliott made it to the lead before losing ground to Tyler Reddick, Busch, and other drivers during green flag pit stops. Eventually, Elliott made it back to the Top 10 on the final restart but made contact with Ryan Blaney, causing him to lose further track position and end the day with his third consecutive Michigan finish outside of the Top 10. The NASCAR Cup Series will next visit Daytona, where he led 13 laps and finished 14th earlier in the year for the Daytona 500.--Sean Engel - RotoBaller

Chase Elliott had another typically quiet finish at Talladega yesterday, finishing 7th on track but being promoted to 5th after Ryan Preece and Joey Logano's disqualifications. Although his pass differential of 52 was the second-highest in the race behind only his teammate Kyle Larson, Elliott only factored for the lead a couple times and only led a single lap under caution while his teammates all looked faster. Elliott was the highest-ranked Chevy in the race a couple times, but he usually did better while in fuel-saving mode than going full rich. His comeback to fifth was nonetheless very impressive as he had a speeding penalty on a pit stop late in Stage 2 in a race where it was difficult to make passes through the pack. His inconsistency has allowed him to pass Christopher Bell for fourth in points and he sits 107 points above the cutline, but his relative lack of speed this year is still worrisome.--Sean Wrona - RotoBaller

Chase Elliott of Hendrick Motorsports will start 30th after qualifying for Sunday's Jack Link's 500. This marks the lowest-ever Cup Series starting position for the No. 9 Chevrolet driver at the Alabama track. In 18 Cup starts in his career at Talladega, Elliott has 13 top-20 finishes, with eight inside the top 10, and two wins. Through nine races so far this year, Elliott has five top-10 finishes, an average finish of 11.6, and remains the only driver to place in the top 20 in all Cup events. Elliott has incredible upside from his starting position, and with Talladega being one of his more favorable tracks historically, he should be one of the first drivers to consider rostering in all formats this week.--Sean Engel - RotoBaller

Hendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott will start 20th for the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway. It will be the second time ever in his Cup career that Elliott will start 20th or lower in a Cup race at Bristol. In 15 races at the site, Elliott has 12 top-20 finishes, including nine inside the top 10, and an average finish of 11.0. After eight races so far in the 2025 season, Elliott remains the only driver to place in the top 20 at the end of every race, with five top-10 finishes. In practice, Elliott ranked 18th in overall lap averages while ranking as high as eighth in 30 consecutive lap averages. Due to his great track history, favorable practice speeds, and overall upside, Elliott is worth rostering in all formats for this week's race at Bristol.--Sean Engel - RotoBaller

Hendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott finished eighth in Sunday's race at Darlington Raceway, the Goodyear 400. Starting from the 15th position, Elliott struggled with his car at the beginning of the first stage. He lost ground to other drivers and ended up in the 23rd position at the end of stage one, making him unable to earn any stage points. In the second stage, Elliott and his team worked on his car during pit stops, and it showed some improvement. Elliott climbed up to 12th by the end of the second stage but still fell short of scoring any stage points for the day. In the final stage, Elliott quietly ran inside the top 10 for most of the stage and kept his car clean. Despite taking a pit strategy of pitting earlier than some other drivers to gain track position, he could not make it to the front of the pack. Elliott ended Darlington in the eighth position for his fourth top-10 finish at Darlington since 2022 and fifth overall for the 2025 season.--Sean Engel - RotoBaller
