DeSean Jackson Not Expected to Play Again in 2019
5 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson (abdomen) is not expected to play again in the 2019 season. Jackson will undergo surgery to repair a core muscle on Tuesday. It usually comes with a 4-6 week recovery at minimum, leaving Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor as the top wide receiving options for the Eagles for the remainder of the season. Mack Hollins will be a distant third wide receiver, but tight end Dallas Goedert has essentially filled that role. It's a blow to an Eagles offense that has become quite predictable and is generally unable to make any deep connections.
