1 year agoThe Knicks will not pick up the $15.6 million team option on guard Derrick Rose. He'll now be free to explore new opportunities, and at least a handful of teams will likely express interest. Rose has averaged 17.7 points and 5.3 assists in 699 regular season games. He also has several accomplishments on his resume outside of three All-Star appearances, including Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player awards. Unfortunately, injuries derailed his career as an elite performer, and while he may play a few more years, his days as a routine fantasy contributor are probably well in the past.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
