Derrick Henry Plans To Be Ready For Season Opener
5 years agoTennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry (calf) hasn't played at all in the preseason and is unlikely to do so on Thursday, but he's planning on being ready for Week 1 against the Browns. Henry ran for 1,059 yards and 12 touchdowns last year and returned to practice earlier this week. The burly running back did most of his damage late in 2018, rushing 97 times for 625 yards and eight scores in December while being named Player of the Month. However, in the first seven weeks of the season he had just 273 yards and one touchdown on 84 carries. Henry will have his big games, but the lack of consistency is what worries fantasy owners, and he'll lose work in the passing game to Dion Lewis. Henry is a low-end RB2 in a run-first offense.
