Free Agent second baseman Derek Dietrich has opted out of his contract with the New York Yankees per Robert Murray of FanSided. He will be now become a free agent and can sign anywhere. He signed a minor league contract with the Yankees in late March after they released him but he was never called up to the big league club. He'll likely latch on to a new organization and serve as depth in the minors.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
