Dallas Mavericks center Dereck Lively II sprained his left ankle in Wednesday's 126-97 win over Portland and exited the game after logging only 19 minutes. He failed to score but made a big difference defensively with three blocks and two steals while notching four rebounds and four assists. Lively II also missed some time last month due to a left ankle sprain. Dwight Powell made three starts in his absence. The Canadian big man wasn't very productive in the role, settling for 5.3 points and 5.0 rebounds in 21.7 minutes. Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd has described Lively II's ankle sprain as "mild," so it looks like he's avoided long-term injury.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
