Denzel Ward Continues To Impress
6 years agoCleveland Browns rookie cornerback Denzel Ward, the fourth overall pick, continues to impress with his overall play through five games in his rookie season. “He was everywhere,” defensive end Myles Garrett said. “He had a game just like he did in the first game of the season, where he was ball hawking and on top of guys at all times.” Ward had an interception, three pass breakups and a blocked field goal in the Week 5 overtime win over the Ravens. The youngster leads the team with three picks this year and also had a forced fumble earlier in the year. Ward is a big reason why Cleveland's defense has improved so much. They'll have their hands full against Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers at home in Week 6.
