Denzel Mims Suffers Injury During Practice

Detroit Lions wide receiver Denzel Mims (ankle) was forced to exit early during Saturday's practice. The 25-year-old came up limping after getting hit hard by safety Tracy Walker during practice. The severity of the injury is unclear, so his status for the preseason opener is unknown right now. Mims was acquired by the Lions from the New York Jets earlier this offseason. The former second-round pick never really reached his full potential while in New York. The hope is that he bounces back in Detroit, but he'll probably serve as depth to open the season.
