Denzel Mims, La'Mical Perine Ruled Out For Season Opener
4 years agoNew York Jets rookie wide receiver Denzel Mims (hamstring) and rookie running back La'Mical Perine (ankle) have both been ruled out for Week 1 against the Bills. Mims is dealing with injuries to both of his hamstrings, so he might not even be ready for Week 2. Breshad Perriman, Jamison Crowder and Chris Hogan should be the team's top three receivers to kick off the season. Perine is recovering from a low ankle sprain but shouldn't be out for too long. He should have a role on offense when he's healthy, but how much of a role he has remains to be seen with Le'Veon Bell and Frank Gore ahead of him on the depth chart.
