Denny Hamlin Ends Up Third At Ally 400
1 year agoDenny Hamlin enjoyed a solid middle portion of the race. Overall, he led 81 laps but the final 20 laps saw the No. 11 Toyota start to fade. By the end, he was caught in lap traffic and more than five second behind Ross Chastain. That meant he was over four seconds behind Martin Truex Jr. for second place. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver did start the race eighth which allowed a solid place differential for Hamlin. However, he is still seventh in the points and well entrenched into a playoff spot.
