Dellin Betances Unhittable Once Again
6 years agoThe New York Yankees had another masterful performance from their bullpen in Monday’s victory over the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park. After Jonathan Holder successfully walked the tightrope of a two-on, nobody out jam, David Robertson tossed a scoreless seventh. This set up Dellin Betances for his familiar spot in the eighth inning. The 30-year-old, who began this season struggling the way he ended last season, has transformed back into the menacing reliever he’s been for most of his career. Monday was no different, as he struck out the side in his 15-pitch masterpiece of an inning. In his last 11 appearances, opponents are batting .024 against him.
