Dellin Betances Beaten In Baltimore
Dellin Betances was in one of the finest forms in the league. Across his last 15 games, he’d put forth a 0.63 ERA, striking out 26 batters in 14 innings. While this was not his night, he’s likely to stay in that form moving forward. The 30-year-old would be dealt his third loss of the season, as his ninth-inning got off to an ominous start with a hit batter. After recording an out, he surrendered a deep double, and following an intentional walk and a strikeout, he allowed a walk-off single to end the game. Betances, widely viewed as an All-Star snub, should not be in danger of reverting back to his putrid form of late last season and the beginning of this season.
