3 years agoThe Atlanta Braves have signed outfielder Delino DeShields to a minor league contract. The 29-year-old was a member of the Miami Marlins this spring. He appeared in four spring games with the Marlins and went 1-for-8 with a pair of strikeouts. The team released him just a few days before Opening Day. After spending his first five MLB seasons with the Texas Rangers, DeShields has bounced around the league over the past few years. He made 25 appearances with the Cincinnati Reds last year and slashed .255/.375/.426 with one home run, two stolen bases, six RBI and four runs.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
