Deandre Washington Hits Paydirt As A Starting Fill-In
5 years agoOakland Raiders running back Deandre Washington wasn't as explosive as Josh Jacobs in Week 14, but he did a respectable job in the rookie's absence. He found the end zone on the team's first drive of the game, scoring from 14 yards out after an interception on defense gave them a short field. That was his longest rush of the game as he finished the afternoon with 53 yards on 14 carries. Washington contributed more as a pass-catcher, hauling in six of seven targets for 43 yards in a game where they were forced to play catch up in the second half. Sunday's loss provided a huge blow to the Raiders playoff hopes, so they could decide to hold Jacobs out further to protect their star. Washington is worth a speculative add in all formats with a juicy Week 15 matchup upcoming versus a banged-up Jaguars Defense.
