DeAndre Jordan Agrees To Deal With Mavericks
6 years agoLos Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan agreed to sign with the Dallas Mavericks in 2015 but backed out of the deal after pressure from his Clippers teammates, but in 2018 he's trying it again, agreeing to a one-year deal with the Mavericks right after free agency began on Sunday. Jordan averaged 12 points and 15.2 rebounds per game last season; it was his best NBA season in terms of rebounding. Expect very similar numbers with the Mavericks this season, as Jordan is one of the most consistent big men in the league. His addition does hurt the fantasy prospects of Dallas forward/center Dwight Powell, who started 25 games last season and would have likely been in line for the starting role if Dallas hadn't signed a center.
